About Us
Deaf-initely Boleh! is a Public Education project of The Singapore
Association for the Deaf. It is initiated by a group of volunteers
comprising of hearing and deaf persons.

The underlying objective of this project is to help the deaf integrate
more effectively into society at all levels of life.

Despite Singapore being a highly progressive society, many
age-old mis-conceptions about the deaf continue to exist.
Unnecessary limitations are still imposed on the deaf at home, in
the school, at the workplace and other social contexts.

With the advent of medical science and technology, the availability
of early intervention and habilitative approaches, and the
increasing adoption of deaf-friendly facilities and features in
products and services for daily living, it has now become possible
for the deaf be more fully integrated with our society.

Our project's aim is to help facilitate this integration through
education. By making available information on options, help and
support for the deaf, as well as to the public on how they can work
and live more closely with the deaf as a team, we seek to shift all
unhealthy paradigms and help the deaf transcend all
unnecessary limitations.

Our Mission
Being deaf doesn't mean less. A number of
deaf persons in Singapore are leading a full
life in school, at work, and in other social
contexts. Yet many more continue to function
at below their potential because of limitations,
real, imposed, or otherwise.

Deaf-initely Boleh!, is conceived to transform
the landscape for the deaf community, to help
them integrate more effectively into society at
all levels.
